Statement

My work is profoundly influenced by a deep appreciation for slowness. I traverse environments—urban or natural—with a deliberate pace, allowing myself ample time to perceive the offerings of a scene. Weathered architecture, shifting landscapes, and fleeting gestures frequently serve as anchors in my images. They convey the delicate equilibrium between permanence and impermanence, a theme that continually compels me to retreat behind the camera.

What captivates me is rarely the apparent subject—it is the subtle tension within the surrounding space, the way light settles upon a surface, or how a landscape appears to recall what has traversed it. My work is grounded in observation, in slowing down sufficiently to discern the subtle interactions between the environment, time, and human presence.

I am not interested in photography as mere documentation but as studies. I am interested in resonance. Each frame represents an endeavor to distill an emotional truth, to create a space where viewers can pause and experience something familiar yet newly illuminated. Negative space, muted tones, and cinematic light assist me in shaping that experience, guiding the eye toward what exists just beyond the literal.

At its essence, my practice is centered around empathy—an invitation to slow down, to observe with intention, and to establish a deeper connection with the world around us. If my images inspire someone to linger a little longer, to examine again, or to discover beauty in the understated, then I have fulfilled my purpose.
